IRMA was initially established in December 1979 as a school to serve the professional needs of the White Revolution, it now aims to engage a much wider audience through its value based Educational programs.

Four decades of fostering transformative management education for creating pro-poor , inclusive and sustainable businesses in 60 acres of picturesque and serene campus with modern and differently-abled friendly facilities for learning, recreation, and sports. IRMA has three distinct yet mutually supporting learning segments: Classrooms, Village Fied Work & Summer Internship. It provides opportunities to learn from Industry stalwarts through Industry Connect (ICON) Talks. Over 34 sessions were held during 2021-22 for the same. Engagement with Centers of Excellence and Policy Labs for collaborative Learning with IRMA Faculty beyond classrooms is one of it's best feature.

Post Graduate Diploma in Management (Rural Management) is NBA Accredited IRMA's Flagship 2-Year Full-Time Program that prepares a generation of young managers to dedicate their careers to the greater good of society in accordance with sustainability principles. This Program offers experiential learning through Village Field Work & Summer Internship Segment. The classroom teaching is reinforced by an intensive fieldwork segment, where participants live with households in under-served communities and deeply study their socio-economic milieu from a management standpoint.


IRMA has an outstanding placements record since inception. The highest CTC offered in the year 2022 was that of INR 26.5 Lakh registering a growth of close to 40% over the previous year. Our placements include organizations from the private sector, public sector, state and federal governments, non-governmental organizations, and multilateral organizations. The highest median & mean salary increased by 48.51% & 34.67% respectively.

IRMA has the best of experienced Academicians and Industry experts. During the last three years, our faculty members have published 106 research papers in peer-reviewed national /International journals, 51 opinion pieces in newspapers / magazines, 10 case studies.

Scholarships @ IRMA

20 merit-based scholarships worth Rs. 1.17 crore are given to the students of Post Graduate Diploma in Management (Rural Management). There are other scholarships too - Mirae Asset Foundation (MAF) Scholarships, SC & ST Scholarship and IDFC First Bank MBA Scholarship.
