The Think Tank Initiative (TTI) is a multi-donor program dedicated to strengthening the capacity of independent policy research organizations in the developing world. Launched in 2008 and managed by Canada's International Development Research Centre (IDRC), the Initiative is a partnership between IDRC, the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, the United Kingdom Department for International Development (DFID) and the Netherlands Directorate General for International Cooperation (DGIS). Currently 49 different institutes across East Africa, West Africa, Latin America and South Asia, is funded under this Initiative. Institute of Rural Management Anand is one among these 49 institutions. As part of this TTI initiative, IRMA is engaged in Policy research and Dissemination across the themes: Local Governance, participatory district planning, Non Profit Organizations, Conflict and conflict resolution and Rural Urban Linkage. Each of these broad themes explores several policies issues under respective research projects.
