First and foremost, my heartfelt congratulations to all the students and their parents on this remarkable achievement of graduating from IRMA. Your hard work and dedication have brought you to this pivotal moment, and it's a pleasure to witness your success.
I'm honoured to be amongst individuals who have been guiding lights in my journey, offering invaluable advice and wisdom. To me, they are my gurus.
Dr. Sodhi's contribution to Amul, after his education here at IRMA, stands as a testament to the vision and impact this institution fosters. His dedication to marketing Amul's products has been commendable.
During the challenging times of the COVID-19 pandemic, the role of cooperatives in securing the livelihoods of milk-producing farmers cannot be overstated. Despite only a fraction of milk reaching the organized sector, cooperatives played a significant role in supporting farmers, a testament to their resilience. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modiji, efforts were made to ensure the welfare of farmers during these trying times, with regular consultations with NDDB, Amul, and other milk unions.
Reema Nanavati's relentless dedication to the upliftment of women is truly inspiring. Her work surpasses any accolade, and I express my deepest gratitude to her. As I stand here today at the Tribhuan Das Patel stadium, I am reminded of the giants whose shoulders we stand upon. Tribhuan Das Ji and Dr. Kurien exemplify selflessness and dedication to societal progress, going beyond personal desires for the greater good.
The green revolution spearheaded by stalwarts like Lal Bahadur Shastri and Dr. Swaminathan transformed India into a net exporter of food grains, a testament to their determination and foresight. Today, as we embark on a journey towards a 5 trillion-dollar economy, the rural economy's growth is paramount. The "Sweet Kranti" initiative, championed by Prime Minister Modi, underscores the importance of beekeeping in this endeavour. Which is scheduled to be launched from the state of Gujrat itself.
As you step into the world beyond these walls, remember that you carry the hopes of millions. Embrace humility, for it is the hallmark of true education. Gandhiji's and Dr. Kurien's vision of strengthening Indian villages resonates deeply today. The role of dairy in transforming rural economies cannot be overlooked, thanks to institutions like IRMA and the efforts of individuals like Dr. Sodhi.
Despite the challenges, I have faith in your ability to overcome obstacles and fulfill the aspirations entrusted upon you. The digitization efforts spearheaded by Prime Minister Modiji have revolutionized governance and brought transparency. Let us continue to strive towards progress and innovation, leveraging technology for the greater good.
In conclusion, I urge you to embrace the mantle of growth and progress. Let us continue to dream big, work hard, and strive for excellence. May you all achieve success beyond your wildest dreams.
