VFS Mela

The Village Fieldwork Segment Mela or VFS Mela is a showcase for the PGDM(RM) participants to display the most unique aspects of he villages they lived in for over two months during their VFS.

The Mela is a celebration of a kaleidoscope of cultures, traditions, arts, cuisines, and much more that is witnessed by the participants during their eight week-long stay in the heartland of the nation.

The Mela is organized on 14 December every year, coinciding with the Foundation Day of IRMA, which signifies the importance of the Mela. There are stalls from the different states that the participants live in during the VFS. They display pieces of the local culture such as jute baskets, kolhapuri chappals, various sharbats and drinks, pickles, local foods of the states, village models, pictures and videos from their village stay, handicrafts, among others.
