Prof. Shambu Prasad was invited to Medha, an organization based in Lucknow, on June 23 and 24, 2018. Medha, co-founded by Byomkesh Mishra a PRM-24 alumnus, aims to improve employment outcomes for youth by providing career mentoring, skills' training, and on-the-job exposure to students at their existing educational institutions. The organization works predominantly with adolescent girls and youth from rural, low income backgrounds in some of the most disadvantaged parts of India.
Prof. Shambu Prasad, who is Chair of the Incubator for Social Enterprises and Entrepreneurs for Development (ISEED) at IRMA, gave a talk on "Incubation and the Social Entrepreneurship Ecosystem" for fresh recruits of Medha. He also conducted a session with the staff of Medha on "Engaging with Gandhi in Contemporary India".
ISEED works with early stage enterprises with a focus on rural and social enterprises. ISEED brings to its incubation ecosystem extensive experience and expertise in providing support to social enterprises through networks, collaborative research, entrepreneurship training, and capacity building.
