In continuance with the Thursday Afternoon Seminar Series (TASS), a seminar on "Rural E-Governance: How Feasible is it to Pursue?" was held on July 19, 2018.
The seminar speaker was Professor Harekrishna Misra whose primary subject area is Information Technology and Systems. This topic was also discussed by Prof Mishra in a workshop conducted at the United Nations University-sponsored Conference on 03 April 2018 at the University of Galway, Ireland.
In his presentation, he discussed the scope for development and assessment of ICT4D* driven E-governance service deliveries to support Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). He also laid out an approach to understand Rural e-Governance Readiness for assessment of interventions.
The Thursday Afternoon Seminar Series (TASS) is a weekly initiative at IRMA aimed as a forum where updates and current events in the field of rural management and development can be discussed and new ideas can fructify.
