The Department of Science and Technology (DST) requested Institute of Rural Management Anand (IRMA) and its Incubator for Social Enterprises and Entrepreneurs for Development (ISEED) to host its sixth meeting of Expert Advisory Committee (EAC) on on-going projects of Innovation - Science and Technology based Entrepreneurship Development (iSTED) on August 20, 2018.
The iSTED national project workshop involved presentations from thirteen partners from different regions and reviews and suggestions by EAC members. Members of EAC and project partners visited IRMA's incubator ISEED, the Amul factory at Anand, a Dairy Cooperative Society at Sandesar village in Anand district, and the Food Incubation Centre at Anand Agricultural University.
ISEED's eco system partner Shroffs Foundation Trust (SFT) organised an exhibition of products - comprising of handicrafts and food items - of the Self Help Groups of Shardadevi Gram Udyog Utpadak Sahakari Mandali (SGS) at incubation centre, IRMA.
ISEED works with early stage enterprises with a clear focus on rural and social enterprises. It brings to its incubation ecosystem extensive experience and expertise in providing support to social enterprises through networks, collaborative research, entrepreneurship training, and capacity building.
