Dr Pramod K Singh is a Professor at the Institute of Rural Management Anand (IRMA) since 2003. He holds an M.Sc., and M.Phil. degree in Environmental Sciences and Ph.D. degree in Sustainable Development from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. Dr Singh has over 25 years’ experience in teaching and research in the areas of environment and development planning, green business strategy, food and livelihood security, climate change adaptation and mitigation, and modeling complex and hard-to-model systems. He has published in some of the high-impact international journals. Professor Singh has completed 36 research studies sponsored by reputed international and national agencies. He teaches courses like Rural Livelihood Systems and Sustainable Development and Green Business to postgraduate and doctoral students. As a lead author of the Sixth Assessment Report of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), Dr Singh contributed to Climate Resilient Development Pathways. Currently, Dr Singh is a coordinating lead author for the global assessment of interlinkages among biodiversity, water, food, health and climate change adaptation and mitigation instituted by the Intergovernmental Science-Policy Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services (IPBES). Dr Singh brings out concerns of the Global South in these international fora.
